I'm not quite sure yet. Waiting, for one thing. I have orphans -- two of them -- books, that is. Or more precisely, completed, paid-for manuscripts. I really like them both, one slightly more than the other. The deciders haven't decided yet when you might have the opportunity to read them. So until then, I'm just...waiting...
And fiddling around with the iMovie HD program on the iMac. I made a promo "trailer." (I KNOW. Who knew?) We waiting people need to do something to stay out of trouble.
This particular "almost book" has a firm and approved title: THE FIRST BOY I LOVED. It was going to be a Harlequin NEXT. This is probably Draft #6 -- of the "trailer," not the book. You want to see it?

I love the trailer! It's so atmospheric. I can't wait to see the book.
I can't wait to read the book, either! What are they thinking, holding up the release of one of your books; I'm pretty upset. Im looking for backup copies of your old ones. The ones I have are starting to moult from all the rereads. I think I have to write to Harlequin/Silhouette and let them know how I feel about this; not one book, but two! What a waste...
Thanks, mj, but I think it's a matter of their getting all their re-organizational ducks in a row -- which I believe they're working on -- and until that's done, there's no alternative but to wait. It doesn't help that I'm something of a "niche writer," that is, my books don't fit the guidelines for other H/S lines. Actually, sometimes they've pushed the envelope of the ones I'm in.
I hope you'll "Watch This Space..." so to speak. I'll post any news regarding the "orphans" on the blog and on my website.
In the meantime, I'm tentatively working on "Patrick Baron's" story (from the "Family Blessing" SSE series. When I'm not making "trailers" or planting tomato seeds. :)
